Been a while
I completed the nursing program. Yay! then proceded to go home and be cut off from most modern technology. This is not so strange as it seems to run in the family. I still remember helping my grandmother wash her clothes in this ancient washer that required you to actually feed the sopping wet clothes into a wringer. It was one of the highlights of the day for a little kid. How close can you get your fingers to the wringer without getting then caught? This is the same Grandmother who did not have a indoor bathroom until my dad was in highschool (he's only 50 now) what a luxury. An flushing toilet!
Anyway no internet at home, and being in the middle of the boonies means no neighbor's wireless to borrow either. I survived by using the local library, about 2 miles drive from home. Tangent!
OK so then I passed the nursing exam-THE NCLEX-and am a registered nurse. I got a job at a local hospital, which I later quit, long story, and am now contemplating my next employment options. Because I did not spend every penny that I made, I can take my time about it.
I am debating on whether to mover closer to my b-e-a-u-tiful neice and impending new arival(neice/nephew?)or to go to a larger city and brave the extrememly new for this small town girl.
In the mean time, I am playing, and procrastinating homework, and enjoying every minute of my freedom.
Oh and making trips home to help dad on the farm. Gotta love driving equipment and moving pipe.
I can tell it is summer. I open the windows at night, smell the fresh air and dream of moving pipe. not a restfull night. Its funny that I still dream of moving pipe. I haven't done it for three years, but still I dream about it.
I hope to upload some of the photos I took last year in my photo class and some that I have taken from vacations etc.
Another day though, as I have huge amounts of HW I need to do and it is pressing me to get it done.
